HELP ME BOOK MY FALL 2010 TOUR

Hi. I'm Nick Jaina and I'm booking my fall tour of the United States.  I don't have a booking agent or manager who sets up these tours.  It's all up to me.  Which is fun, because I can wake up in the morning and decide I want to go to a certain city and I don't have to ask anyone's permission.  The difficult part is that I'm just one guy, and booking 30 shows across the country is complicated.  It's like setting up 30 parties in different places, all within driving distance from each other, hoping that you've made all the right arrangements and that enough people will come out.

There are just a few cities where I still need help.  The current list is below.  If you can offer any of the following information, it would be very appreciated:

- The names of venues that you know are great and appropriate for my music
- The names of bands that you know are great and appropriate for me to play with
- Any special information about a city that I should know (like "Oh God, don't play there on a Wednesday" or "Oh man, the rodeo's in town that night" or "Play anywhere but in this neighborhood")
- Obviously, the best thing would be if you said something like, "I know a guy at this venue and I'll talk to him and get you a show and it'll be great"
- Even just a simple recommendation for a place to eat or a good park in which to throw a frisbee is appreciated

Send all helpful hints to me at nickjaina@gmail.com

To thank you for your help, I'll be happy to get you into our show for free, give you a hug and tell you my theories about time travel.

DISCOGRAPHY
A NARROW WAY (2008)
An album recorded in a "classic" or possibly "classy" fashion: the whole band playing together in the room, doing a take while someone in the other room mixes it live to tape.  Mess up and you do the whole thing over.  No overdubs, no punch-ins.

Available on CD from HUSH
Available on vinyl from
Jealous Butcher
WOOL (2008)
An album of piano songs, recorded on Elliott Smith's old piano before it was loaded on a truck and sent off to some museum.  Quiet, sleep-time music, with odd rustling in the background.

Available on CD from HUSH
THE 7 STATIONS (2006)
A diverse album, sometimes a vibraphone shimmies up to the bar, sometimes a banjo saunters by.  Recorded when the band was just coalescing.

Available on CD from HUSH
A very sparse album.  "Underproduced" in the most elegant way.  Nothing gets between a man and his poverty-stricken sentiments.

Available on CD from HUSH
THE BLUFF OF ALL TIME (2005)

A BIRD IN THE OPERA HOUSE (2010)
A studio album.  In a good way.  Many different guitars, textures, sounds.  Songs about the most famous fruit vendor in the world, the most beautiful town in California, the best place to find a hotel in Cincinnati.  Also, more songs about girls.
