all the best fakers in the world
are exposed in slow motion by the camera
I've seen the best part of us
it is a dream that we haven't waken from
and the best part of it is
we haven't yet realized that it's a dream

all the signs are shouting their purpose
though by now their message is worthless
I've seen the worst part of us
it is a road that's been torn apart and blocked
and the worst part of it is
it's the only road we've ever walked

how do you tell a story if you don't know
how the story ends?
and how do you set your path once you know that
even light can bend?

you said that blood was the thing that keeps us living oh
and that should be the center of every love song
because blood is one thing that you cannot fake at all
if you're on the ground screaming either you're pretending or you're not and you're bleeding

all the real architects fly the bomber jets
they've shaped the skyline more than any academy mind
I've seen the best part of us
it is the light calling all the ships to shore
and the best part of it is that light shouldn't be burning anymore
