FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does this work?
We set up a schedule for meeting regularly. You send me new writing 48 hours before our meeting. I read through it, make some notes, and then we talk it out. We can meet as frequently as you want. Some people do every two weeks, some do every month.
What are you qualifications?
I was an Oregon Book Award finalist for my memoir Get It While You Can. I spent three years writing a novel, Hitomi, and can attest that novel writing is the most difficult creative project anyone can undertake. And I have written and recorded over a dozen albums over the last two decades. Songwriting was actually my first love and has been the craft I’ve dedicated the most time to.
How much does it cost?
The first 30-minute session is free. See if you like what I have to say. After that, it’s $85 for an hour, or you can buy packages for 5 hours for $375, or 10 hours for $750.

If you’re trying to get started on a project and you’d like to work with someone personally to help figure out where to go next, how to go deeper, how to develop a routine, and how to stay accountable, you can talk to me for one-on-one writing mentorship.
We can talk out ideas, work on structure, set deadlines, expand, contract, whatever you need. I’m an Oregon Book Award finalist, I have taught writing workshops for over a decade, I’ve released many books and albums, and I love figuring out creative projects.
I offer a free 30-minute phone consultation to see if it would be a good fit for both of us.
